I tried to reattach the spring but the spring and the area that it broke off of were very corroded. without the spring, the well cannot contact both the + and - of the battery. is there *any* way i can fix this, or is the toy a total loss?. The best fix-trick i've seen was tinfoil around a snip of rubber band. what you have is a conductive-rubber-ball. it is a common trick with 9v batteries. for tubular cells, the most common fix requires a similar coil spring from another device. using needle-nose pliers, bend the spiral coils tighter.
Best answer: the corrosion wont hurt anything. you can just scrub it out. the spring has to do two things: hold the battery securely in place and conduct a current. anything that meets those two criteria will do as a replacement.. Rejcting coins? hope someone can help will only accept 1 coin at a time have to play the credit then insert a new coin also it will only accept the new £1 coin say 1 in 20 times and the 50p/20p coins are accepted more often say 90% of time but all just 1 at a time....
